Nick Cohen

Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist #158287,
Supervised by Camille Black, LMFT

Nick Cohen, AMFT, brings a calm and supportive presence to his work with adolescents, adults, couples, and families. He has experience across residential, outpatient, and partial hospitalization (PHP/IOP) settings, supporting clients who are navigating anxiety, eating disorders, mood-related challenges, emotional dysregulation, and life transitions.

Nick’s approach is both compassionate and practical. He focuses on helping clients better understand what they’re experiencing while also building real-world tools to manage emotions, reduce distress, and strengthen relationships. He draws from evidence-based modalities including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), integrating skills-based work with deeper emotional exploration.

In addition to individual therapy, Nick has extensive experience leading groups and working with adolescents in higher levels of care. He is comfortable supporting clients and families in moments of crisis and change, while also helping them build structure, stability, and confidence over time.

Nick works to create a space where people feel safe showing up as they are, without judgment, and supported in taking meaningful steps toward change at a pace that feels manageable and sustainable.

He is seeing clients in-person and virtually, and is in network with Aetna and Victims of Crime.
