Supervised by Danielle Chebabi, LMFT #120240

Tamara Bacak, Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who works with children, teens, adults, and families navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, emotional overwhelm, low self-esteem, relationship challenges, divorce, and other difficult life transitions. She helps clients make sense of what they are experiencing, develop healthier ways of coping, and feel more confident navigating the challenges in front of them.

Tamara brings more than 20 years of experience supporting individuals and families in educational and community settings. This background has given her a strong understanding of how our relationships, environments, and experiences can shape the way we feel and respond to the world around us. She is especially skilled at helping clients who feel overwhelmed by their emotions, stuck in patterns they want to change, or unsure of how to move forward.

Her style is warm, practical, and collaborative. Tamara takes the time to understand each person beyond the symptoms that brought them to therapy and adjusts her approach based on their needs, personality, and goals. She draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, emotional regulation strategies, and other evidence-based approaches to help clients better understand themselves and develop tools they can actually use in everyday life.

For younger clients, Tamara incorporates developmentally appropriate and play-based approaches when helpful, while also supporting parents and families in better understanding what may be happening beneath a child’s behavior.

If you are working through a specific challenge or if you just know that something in your life needs to change, Tamara offers a supportive place to talk openly, gain perspective, and work toward feeling more grounded and capable.
